Wireworks by Nina Lazarou

About Nina

Nina is an award-winning 3D sculpture artist based in the Vale of Glamorgan. With a lifelong passion for making and creating, she first discovered wire sculpture after attending a willow sculpture course. This sparked her curiosity about how wire could be manipulated into recognisable forms, leading her to develop her own distinctive style.

Constructing each piece freehand, Nina works intuitively, using only her hands and pliers to shape and layer wire. She enjoys the spontaneity and freedom of this process, embracing the strength, suppleness, and versatility of wire. Each sculpture is entirely unique, capturing a sense of movement and energy.

Beyond her personal work, Nina is deeply involved in the community, collaborating with schools, wellbeing groups, local hospitals, and charities. She also runs her own wire workshops, sharing her skills and passion for sculpture with others. She is also a committee member of the Women's Arts Association Wales (WAAW).
